Driving Test Requirements
- It is the customer’s responsibility to know the requirements to be eligible to test. Testing requirements at the DMV’s website, and our office staff can provide information to help answer any questions about the requirements. You must be at least 16 years old to test for a license. If you are under the age of 18 years old, you are required to hold your permit for at least 1 full year from the issue date to be eligible to test.
- To use your vehicle, you must have current registration and insurance, and if registered in Colorado, you must have both front and back license plates on your vehicle. If these are out of date and/or you do not have these items, then we cannot use your vehicle until you comply with the law. Also, we must conduct safety checks on the vehicle where we check your brake lights, turn signals, and cracks in the windshield. If one of your brake lights or signals does not work, and/or there is a crack in the windshield that impedes your vision, then we cannot use your vehicle until you repair those issues.
- If you hold a ‘Restricted Permit’, the driving test must be conducted in your vehicle with a working Interlock or Smart Start Device.
- The customer will forfeit their appointment and be subjected to a $50 fee if they arrive at the testing location (present inside our office) more than five minutes late to their scheduled appointment start time.
- The customer may be subjected to a $50 cancellation fee if canceling an appointment within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment time.
- If there is snow or ice on the road and the customer does not feel comfortable testing in those conditions, they can cancel their test up to 1 hour before the test time and reschedule at no charge. Please note: According to state standards if the car slips, spins, or slides on the test it is an automatic failure.
- We have the right to refuse service for any reason. Rates are subject to change. Refunds will be at the company’s discretion.
Driver’s Education Classroom Polices:
- Contract and payment will be collected on the first day of class. Packages must be determined when contract is collected, and may not be upgraded after the course begins.
- Contract is for classroom instruction, the student agrees to attend, participate and not to distract or deter others from learning. If your student has behavior problems, he/she may be expelled. If your student is expelled, no refund will be given. Any damage to textbooks and building property will be the responsibility of the student. Replacement cost of textbook will incur a $50 charge. Cell phones or other electronic devices will be collected during classroom sessions and may only be used during classroom breaks, unless needed for medical monitoring.
